Truss Us, It’s Sturdy – with the Westchester Children’s Museum at the Keeler Library
Wednesday, February 22nd at 3:00.
Grades 3-5. Registration required – call or email the library.
Join the staff from the Westchester Children’s Museum as they lead us in this STEM activity. A truss structure is considered the strongest building structure because of the triangular shape it sues. In this hands-on activity, kids will explore why certain shapes are stronger than others and how they distribute weight differently. Using what they learn, kids will build and test the strength of their own truss construction.
