In August, 1765, the East India Company defeated the young Mughal emperor. Within 40 years the company had 200,000 well equipped soldiers ruling all of India south of the HImalayas from a small boardroom in London. It is a tale of the first global corporate power. Dalrymple is a “gifted travel writer and historian” who “writes like a novelist.”
We have copies of the book for you to check out.

We will meet outside/inside depending on the weather at 5:00.
