CLICK HERE TO REGISTER This group meets by Zoom and is open to anyone and newcomers are welcome. We have copies of the books at the library for you to check out. Weatherford is a professor at Macalester College. He posits that Khan was not a barbarian but rather a visionary who with an army of never more than 100,000, conquered more peoples and lands in 25 years than the Romans did in 400. By so doing he “joined backward Europe with the flourishing cultures of Asia to trigger a global awakening, an unprecedented explosion of technologies, trade, and ideas.”
