Lefteri has written a poignant tale of a Syrian family from Aleppo forced by war to flee through Turkey and Greece to an uncertain future in Great Britain. Nuri is a beekeeper, and his wife Afra, an artist. The horrid events of war and being refugees have induced blindness in Afra. The book has been called moving, powerful, compassionate, and beautifully written.

We will have copies of it at the library.
