Bagels and Books Discusssion Group – Fall 2022

This group is free, open to all, welcomes newcomers and requires no registration. We will be reading these books this fall and will have copies at the library to borrow. It meets at 10:30 at the library.

November 3rd – The Golem and the Jinni by Helene Wecker
This marvelous debut novel follows two supernatural creatures in 1899 New York. It “explores what it means to be human…to live and find love while overcoming the powerful adversary who threatens to destroy them.”
Dr. Neela Saxena, Professor of English and Women’s Studies at Nassau Community College, will be leading the discussion.

December 1st – Miss Benson’s Beetle by Rachel Joyce
Joyce has written a novel that one reviewer calls, “A pure joyride…sweet witt, poignant, filled with intrigue and unlikely friendship.”
